- Policy & Compliance: Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans, ensuring adherence to local, national (OSHA), and international standards.
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular walkthroughs, inspect equipment/PPE, identify hazards, and perform site audits.
- Training & Education: Lead daily toolbox talks, conduct new hire orientations, and provide ongoing training on safe work practices and protocols.
- Risk Management: Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), assess high-risk activities (e.g., trenching, working at heights), and implement corrective actions.
- Incident Management: Investigate accidents, near misses, and injuries, document findings, and manage return-to-work programs.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed safety logs, reports, training records, and permits for audits.
- Culture Building: Foster a proactive safety culture where workers are responsible for their own and colleagues' safety.
