Research and Development Specialist

The Research & Development (R&D) Specialist is responsible for performing laboratory experiments for product development. Other responsibilities include collecting, sorting, and analyzing data, and developing, executing, and interpreting research projects.

Qualifications:

• At least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or a related course.
• At least two (2) years of working experience in the Cosmetics and Home Care Products Industry and other related fields is required for this position.

Technical Skills Required:

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques including measuring, mixing, testing, and troubleshooting formulations.
• In-depth understanding of cosmetic regulations and safety requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of an R&D Specialist include, but are not limited to the following:

• Develop formulations to demonstrate the benefits and applications of raw materials and technologies.
• Provide formulation guidance, and conduct critical formulation reviews.
• Prepare product prototype based on created formulation draft and conduct all required testing including stability test.
• Conduct stability testing and troubleshoot unstable formulas to ensure commercial feasibility.
• Develop and drive expert knowledge of emerging technologies, trends, new products to drive product innovation.
• Support technical sales team by providing formulated samples and materials.
• Perform other relevant tasks as may be assigned by the Immediate Head from time to time.
