Job Title: Electronics Technician (Electric Vehicle Systems)

Job Summary

The Electronics Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the electrical wiring, electronic control systems, and printed circuit boards (PCBs) of electric vehicles. The role supports the repair and testing of EV transmission control systems, motor controllers, battery electronics, and associated electronic components while ensuring safe and reliable vehicle operation.

Key Responsibilities

•Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical wiring and electronic circuit board (PCB) faults in electric vehicles.

•Inspect, repair, and replace damaged wiring harnesses, connectors, relays, sensors, and electronic components.

•Perform troubleshooting of electric vehicle transmission control systems and motor controller circuits.

•Conduct continuity, voltage, resistance, and signal testing using diagnostic instruments.

•Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, circuit schematics, and PCB layouts.

•Repair and solder electronic components on circuit boards when applicable.

•Perform preventive maintenance and functional testing of electronic systems.

•Assist in diagnosing faults in Battery Management Systems (BMS), motor controllers, DC-DC converters, and charging systems.

•Verify CAN Bus communication and troubleshoot communication-related faults.

•Install and configure electrical and electronic components according to engineering specifications.

•Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and test results.

•Maintain electronic tools, diagnostic equipment, and workstations.

•Ensure compliance with company safety standards and electrical safety procedures.

Qualifications

•Graduate of a Technology course in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.

•NC II Holder in Electronics Products Assembly and Servicing (EPAS) or equivalent Electronics certification.

•Experience in electronics troubleshooting and PCB repair is an advantage.

•Experience with electric vehicles or automotive electronics is preferred.

•Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
