PET CT Scan Nurse (NUCLEAR MEDICINE DEPARTMENT)

The PET CT Scan Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing PET-CT procedures. The role includes patient preparation, monitoring, coordination with the imaging team, administration of medications as ordered, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the diagnostic process.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients prior to PET-CT scan procedures.
• Explain procedures, preparation instructions, and post-scan care to patients and their families.
• Monitor patients’ condition before, during, and after imaging procedures.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Assist radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and technologists during procedures when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes, and documentation.
• Observe patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately during emergencies.
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse (PRC License required).
• With at least 1 year clinical or hospital experience is an advantage.
• Experience in radiology, nuclear medicine, oncology, or diagnostic imaging is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in IV insertion, patient monitoring, and emergency response.
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules if needed.
• Willing to relocate or work in Calamba, Laguna.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Background in PET-CT, CT Scan, MRI, Radiology, or Oncology Nursing is an advantage.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of radiation safety practices is an advantage.
