Job Description:

X-RAY PROCEDURES

1. Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.


2. Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.

3. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.

4. Experience in setting up mobile x-ray machine

5. Strictly adheres to radiations safety standard and regulations

6. Inventory and supplies management

7. Calibration and Preventive Maintenance of the X-ray Machine

8. Monitoring Licensing and Quality Control Requirements such as special training/updated standards etc.

9. Record keeping and reports. Ensures results are correct and accurate.

10. Takes quality radiograph employing the right exposure factors and proper positioning for accurate interpretation and evaluation of the results

11. Ensure correct release of results by labeling X-ray images properly by following the standard. operating procedure (SOP) for images to avoid misrepresentation of results, types of X-ray results in the official report forms and double check entries to guarantee accurate results.

12. Prepares x-ray images for reading by the Radiologist.

13. Assists Radiologists during evaluation and interpretation of the images and records pertinent findings in the logbook

14. Prepares Radiologist professional and reading fee based on completed x ray procedures

15. Ensure operation of radiologic equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Performs other related tasks assigned from time to time.

ULTRASOUND PROCEDURE

1. Ensure completeness of all needed imaging supplies and proper maintenance of ultrasound machines and equipment.


2. Correct performs all imaging procedures including proper identification of patient

3. Secures the doctors diagnostic request from the patient, and checks the order of the physicians

4. Logs the name of patient ultrasound to the corresponding daily census log sheet

5. Explains the procedure to the patient

6. Prepares the patient physically and psychologically. Ensures patients do the pre and post preparation (fasting) based on requested ultrasound procedures.

7. Does the after care to patient and assists on getting out of bed

8. Instructs patients regarding the availability of the result turn -around- time TAT.

9. Encodes the official results in the system

10. Strictly observes standard set on aseptic technique and universal precautions.

11. Ensures a timely reporting of results and those results are correct and accurate.

12. Strictly adheres to maintaining confidentiality of all diagnostic results.

13. Prepares all actual images ready for reading by a Sonologist

14. Accurate and timely filing of diagnostic forms with results for record references.

15. Ensure coordination with the Clinic Staff Nurse for endorsement of releasing results.

16. Performs other related tasks assigned by the Senior Radiologic Technician/Clinic Manager/Supervisor from time to time.
