About the role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Tobey Construction And Maintenance Corporation, you will play a crucial role in the company's construction and maintenance projects. This full-time position is based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, and involves providing expert quantity surveying services to ensure the successful delivery of complex construction initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Analyse project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify material and labour requirements
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts
• Monitor project costs and variances, and provide regular progress reports
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to optimise project efficiency and profitability
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid proposals
• Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and industry standards
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior quantity surveyors within the team

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Proven expertise in cost estimation, project planning, and contract management
• Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and equipment
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
• Experience with any quantity surveying software platforms is essential for this role
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Membership in a professional quantity surveying or construction management association
