Job Summary:

• The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for conducting usability, functional, and certification testing of CIT’s applications and digital products.
• This role ensures that products meet usability standards, function as intended, and comply with regulatory and certification requirements.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in test planning, execution, automation, and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance software quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for usability, functional, and certification testing.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, user experience, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure test coverage and address defects.
• Perform cross-platform and cross-browser testing to ensure compatibility.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail).
• Validate software compliance with industry certification standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts for regression testing.
• Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with WCAG and other accessibility standards.
• Analyze test results and provide actionable insights for product improvements.
• Participate in continuous process improvements for QA methodologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of usability testing principles, functional testing, and certification testing processes.
• Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test case management tools.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.
• Experience in mobile application testing (iOS, Android).
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience in security testing and performance testing.
• Familiarity with accessibility testing and compliance standards.
