We are seeking a highly analytical and leadership-oriented QA Lead to oversee functional testing within our Banking and Financial Crime Unit. This role requires a strategic thinker who can define testing frameworks while remaining hands-on with complex ETL processes and SQL data analysis. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of systems related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Fraud detection, managing the end-to-end defect lifecycle, and mentoring a team of QA engineers.

Key Responsibilities

1. QA Strategy & Test Planning

• Define and implement the overall QA strategy, ensuring the testing approach aligns with project goals and risk profiles.
• Develop comprehensive Test Plans and schedules for complex functional releases.

2. Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and mentor a team of QA Engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
• Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative environment between QA, Development, and Business stakeholders.

3. Test Coverage & Execution

• Oversee the creation, review, and execution of test cases to ensure 100% requirements traceability.
• Hands-on Execution: Participate in testing activities, specifically focusing on data-heavy validation.
• Data Analysis: Utilize strong SQL skills to perform deep-dive data analysis and validate ETL processes within a banking environment.

4. Defect Management & Domain Expertise

• Domain Focus: Apply deep knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Fraud, and Financial Crime Unit (FCU) workflows to identify critical logic gaps.
• Manage the defect lifecycle using ALM or Jira, including tracking, prioritization, and coordination of fixes with the development team.
• Prepare and present detailed defect status reports and quality metrics to senior leadership.

5. Process Maintenance & Improvement

• Implement and maintain standardized QA processes and documentation templates.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing efficiency and product quality.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Software Quality Assurance, with years in a Lead or Senior capacity.
• Banking Expertise: Significant experience in the Banking Domain, specifically involving AML, Fraud detection, or Financial Crime operations.
• Technical Skills: * Advanced SQL proficiency for data validation and backend testing.
• Proven experience in ETL testing and handling large datasets.
• Expert-level usage of Jira or HP ALM for test management and defect tracking.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, English communication (written/verbal), and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Automated Testing tools (Selenium, etc.) is a plus.

Work Schedule: Night Shift

Work Location: Quezon City (3x onsite/week)
