JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Seeks vendors that offer a combination of quality products and services at an acceptable price level, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Reviews proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Visits vendors to assess their capability when necessary.
• Oversees the purchase of materials to fill the needs of those orders that are based upon forecasted requirements through purchase orders.
• Recommends approval of new supplier for accreditation.
• Monitors/reviews performance of suppliers.
• Coordinates with suppliers for any issues, concerns or improvement opportunities.
• Evaluates performance of subordinates.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of any four-year business course
• Preferably with at least three (2) years' experience in the same field
• Must be computer literate
• Negotiating skills
• Resourceful
