Purchasing and Admin Supervisor

Description

• Oversee and coordinate purchasing activities and inventory management processes.
• Develop strategic vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective procurement.
• Manage purchasing team to optimize operational efficiency and compliance with company policies.
• Responsible for Supplier Accreditation Process by providing necessary document to be accredited by the supplier.
• Tracking delivery of all pending orders from suppliers. Weekly update is done to salespersons, immediate superior and AVP – Finance and Admin.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their performance.
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all purchases.
• Collaborates with warehouse, finance, technical and sales team to carry out the assigned purchasing tasks.
• Review of the costing analysis prepared by Salespersons ensuring accurate purchase records.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
• Perform ad hoc tasks deemed necessary

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience Level: 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
• Skills and Competencies: Proficient in vendor management, inventory control, and business operations.
• Qualities and Traits: Strong negotiation skills with excellent communication abilities.
• Responsibilities and Duties: Ability to oversee administrative tasks related to purchasing operations.
• Working Conditions: Fast-paced office environment with potential requirements for occasional travel to vendor sites.
