Description

Job Title: Merchandiser

Department: Sales / Retail / Marketing

Reports To: Sales Manager

Location: Quezon City/ With Transportation Allowance if out of area

Job Type: Part-Time (3 days a week)

Salary: 645/day


A Merchandiser/Promodizer is responsible for ensuring that products are displayed effectively in retail stores or on e-commerce platforms, with the goal of maximizing sales. The role involves managing stock levels, designing attractive product displays, conducting market research, and working closely with suppliers and store teams to optimize product placement and ensure the store is visually appealing and well-stocked.


  • Product Display & Presentation:
  • Create and maintain eye-catching product displays that attract customers and encourage sales.
  • Organize products by category, ensuring that high-demand or seasonal items are given prime positioning.
  • Use principles of color, layout, and signage to create visually appealing store layouts or online product pages.
  • Stock Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock is replenished on time.
  • Identify slow-moving products and collaborate with marketing teams to implement strategies to increase sales.
  • Work with the supply chain or purchasing teams to order and manage stock.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring:
  • Analyze sales data and trends to forecast demand and adjust product placement accordingly.
  • Provide regular reports on product performance and suggest changes or improvements to boost sales.
  • Track competitor products and displays to stay competitive and up-to-date with market trends.
  • Collaboration with Teams:
  • Work with store management and visual merchandisers to ensure product displays align with brand standards and marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Train and guide retail staff on product features and effective sales techniques.
  • Customer Experience & Feedback:
  • Observe customer behavior and gather feedback on product displays, adjusting accordingly to improve shopping experience.
  • Ensure that products are clean, undamaged, and properly priced.
  • Promotional Campaigns:
  • Support seasonal or promotional events, including setting up temporary displays or coordinating special product features.
  • Help with the implementation of sales promotions and discounts to drive sales.


Requirement

  • Education:
  • A high school diploma or college degree
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or a related role is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and visual merchandising principles.
  • Creative, with a keen eye for design and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams and vendors.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work on weekends or holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift products as necessary (for retail roles).
  • A passion for consumer goods or the specific industry in which you are working.
  • Working Conditions:
  • This role may involve travel to different store locations or suppliers (if applicable).
  • Merchandisers typically work on the shop floor, and some time may be spent lifting and arranging products.
  • May require extended hours during busy seasons or product launches.
