KTC Solutions Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of an Obstacle Course Construction Project.
The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with approved plans, client specifications, contract requirements, and applicable construction standards.
The successful candidate will provide strong leadership across all phases of the project, from mobilization and procurement through construction, inspection, completion, and final turnover. The role will require close coordination with the client, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, government agencies, and internal project teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management & Execution
- Plan, organize, direct, and manage all phases of the project from mobilization through completion and final turnover.
- Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, manpower plans, equipment utilization plans, and procurement requirements.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, scope of work, BOQ, contract requirements, and technical documents.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, milestones, deliverables, and performance targets.
- Ensure construction activities are properly coordinated and executed in accordance with approved plans and methodologies.
- Lead regular project progress meetings, site meetings, inspections, and coordination meetings.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage the Site Engineer, Safety Officer, QC Inspector, Foremen, and construction workforce.
- Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and accountability within the project team.
- Coordinate manpower requirements and ensure efficient utilization of project personnel.
- Provide direction and support to site teams in resolving technical, operational, and construction-related issues.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, commitments, and resource utilization.
- Track actual costs against approved budgets and identify potential cost overruns or unfavorable variances.
- Coordinate with Finance, Procurement, and project teams on cost reporting, payment requirements, and financial documentation.
- Monitor project forecasts and provide management with timely updates on project financial status.
- Implement appropriate corrective measures to maintain cost control.
Contract Administration
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, approved scope, specifications, schedules, and client requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations.
- Review and coordinate change orders, variations, claims, extensions of time, and other contractual matters as required.
- Maintain proper project documentation and records to support contract administration and project closeout.
Procurement & Resource Planning
- Coordinate procurement requirements for materials, equipment, tools, and subcontracted works.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available according to the project schedule.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor deliveries and performance.
- Develop and maintain effective manpower, material, equipment, and resource plans.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control
- Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Work closely with the QC Inspector and project team to conduct inspections, testing, and quality verification.
- Monitor punch-list items, corrective works, and completion of deficiencies.
- Ensure all required quality documentation is properly maintained.
Safety & OSH Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards, project safety requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate closely with the Safety Officer to identify and mitigate construction safety risks.
- Ensure safe work practices are implemented throughout project execution.
- Address safety concerns and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
Risk Management & Problem Solving
- Identify, assess, and monitor project risks that may affect cost, schedule, quality, safety, or scope.
- Develop and implement appropriate risk mitigation and contingency measures.
- Resolve construction issues promptly and escalate critical matters to management when necessary.
- Make sound and timely decisions under pressure while maintaining project objectives.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as a key point of contact for the client, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Maintain professional and effective communication throughout project execution.
- Coordinate technical discussions, project reviews, inspections, and client meetings.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and promptly address project concerns.
- Maintain positive working relationships while protecting the company's contractual and project interests.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit regular project progress reports, schedule updates, cost reports, manpower reports, risk assessments, and technical reports.
- Maintain accurate project records, correspondence, meeting minutes, inspection reports, and other required documentation.
- Provide management with timely updates on project status, issues, risks, and recommended actions.
- Ensure all project documentation required for final completion and turnover is properly compiled.
Project Completion & Turnover
- Monitor completion of all construction activities, testing, inspections, punch-list items, and corrective works.
- Coordinate final inspections and client acceptance.
- Ensure completion documentation, as-built records, warranties, manuals, and other turnover requirements are properly prepared.
- Lead the project team through final turnover and closeout.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 7–10 years of construction project management experience, including at least 5 years managing medium- to large-scale construction projects.
- Proven experience managing projects from mobilization through construction, completion, and final turnover.
- Experience in obstacle course construction, military facilities, government infrastructure, sports facilities, or similar projects is an advantage.
- Professional Engineer license is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine construction regulations, building codes, contract requirements, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
- Strong understanding of construction planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, procurement, contract administration, QA/QC, and risk management.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope of work, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in construction scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver's license is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel as required by project requirements.
