Overview

• As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a motivated and detail-driven Estimator to join our team and help deliver accurate, confident pricing that supports successful builds.
• In this role, you’ll manage your own workflow, work to deadlines, and collaborate closely with other members to ensure estimates are completed accurately and efficiently.
• To succeed, you’ll be highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable managing competing priorities within a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail. 

The role includes

Duties of the role include (but certainly are not limited to):

• Reading and interpreting building plans to carry out quantity take-offs using a CAD-based system
• Understanding customer specifications and providing appropriate solutions if required
• Ensuring accuracy of customer documentation and compliance requirements
• Estimating the materials and labour required on site-specific jobs
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders

Qualities we look for

• Experience in estimating residential construction
• Construction industry and product knowledge
• Methodical with strong attention to detail
• Organised and Accurate
• Ability to accurately read and interpret building plans and 3D CAD models
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Outlook
• Sound knowledge and application of mathematics
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice-to-Haves (Desirable)

• Hands-on experience with computer-based estimating packages
• Basic roofing knowledge
• Sound knowledge of Applicad Software preferred
• Training provided in Roof Wizard
• Proactive and interactive approach
• Takes responsibility and ownership of outcomes
• Positive team player. 
• Ability to collaborate with other stakeholders
• Comfortable having difficult conversations when required
