- Run, pull, terminate, and splice copper or fiber optic cables; mount equipment, routers, switches, and terminal boxes.
- Use test meters and diagnostic tools to check signal strength, identify transmission faults, and fix or replace faulty wiring.
- Conduct site surveys, drill holes, build support racks, and follow engineering blueprints or technical diagrams.
- Explain system operation to clients, demonstrate equipment use, and maintain professional on-site communication.
- Label cables accurately and record configuration specifications, service logs, and maintenance reports.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in electronics, telecommunications, or computer networking is preferred
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematic designs, and color-coded wiring.
- Stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders or utility poles, and work in varied weather conditions or confined spaces
