The Facilities, Property Management and Safety Officer is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and safety of all commissary facilities, buildings, equipment, utilities, and company properties. The role ensures efficient facility operations, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, food safety support, asset preservation, and a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management

• Manage the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and upkeep of commissary facilities and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and utilities.
• Oversee HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, water, and wastewater systems.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure all assets are maintained in good operating condition.
• Coordinate facility improvement, renovation, and expansion projects.

Property Management

• Manage company-owned properties, buildings, grounds, and facility assets.
• Maintain accurate records of property assets, leases, permits, warranties, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor facility-related expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, landlords, and service providers.
• Ensure proper utilization and preservation of company properties and assets.

Safety and Compliance

• Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, building, and food safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and hazard identification activities.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage cases.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize workplace risks.
• Manage fire safety programs, emergency preparedness, and evacuation procedures.
• Conduct safety training, orientations, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.

Leadership and Administration

• Supervise facilities and maintenance personnel.
• Establish departmental goals, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Prepare reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, safety compliance, and capital projects.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and other departments to support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Property Management, Architecture, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in facilities management, property management, maintenance, or safety management, preferably in a commissary, food manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, occupational safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong project management, leadership, and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
