Production Operator

Position: Production Operator

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Line Leader / Production Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for operating production equipment and performing assigned manufacturing tasks to ensure products are produced efficiently, safely, and according to the company’s quality standards. The position requires following production procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and meeting established production targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned production machines, equipment, and tools according to company procedures.
  • Perform production and assembly tasks based on work instructions and production schedules.
  • Set up, adjust, and monitor machines or equipment as instructed and within the employee's level of authorization.
  • Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects or quality issues.
  • Ensure products meet required specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.
  • Perform basic measurements, counting, sorting, packing, labeling, and other production-related tasks.
  • Monitor the production process and immediately report machine abnormalities, product defects, or other issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain the proper operation and cleanliness of assigned machines, tools, and workstations.
  • Perform basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance as instructed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records, checklists, and reports as required.
  • Meet assigned production targets while maintaining product quality and workplace safety.
  • Properly handle, store, and use production materials and equipment.
  • Follow all company policies, workplace rules, and occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Properly wear and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the production area.
  • Assist in inventory counting and material handling when required.
  • Coordinate with team members, line leaders, and supervisors to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Immediately report accidents, unsafe conditions, defective products, or equipment problems to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Participate in training, safety programs, quality initiatives, and other company activities.
  • Perform other production-related duties as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • At least [18] years old, FEMALE
  • High school graduate or equivalent; vocational training is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but may not be required for entry-level positions.
  • Physically capable of performing production-related duties, including standing for extended periods and handling materials.
  • Able to follow instructions, production procedures, and safety rules.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required, subject to company policy and applicable labor regulations.
  • Responsible, punctual, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
  • Willing to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Working Conditions

The Production Operator will primarily work in a manufacturing or production facility and may be exposed to machinery, noise, dust, heat, repetitive tasks, and prolonged standing, depending on the production environment.

The employee is required to follow all applicable safety procedures and properly use the required PPE while performing assigned duties.
