CNC Process Engineer


Job Summary

The CNC Process Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in CNC production processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role involves conducting data analysis, troubleshooting process issues, process design, and ensuring all production processes meet regulatory and safety standards. The engineer also collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop training materials, standardize processes, and implement best practices across the organization.


Job Responsibilities:

Process Support and Improvement

  • Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of inefficiencies, and areas for process optimization.
  • Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys, and FMEA.
  • Use statistical analysis tools to measure process capability and establish improvement benchmarks.
  • Monitor and adjust process parameters based on production requirements or conditions.
  • Diagnose and resolve process-related issues to reduce downtime and improve yield and quality.
  • Prepare and present reports on process performance, deviations, and improvement results.
  • Maintain accurate records of troubleshooting activities and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and other teams to implement corrective and preventive actions

Process Design and Training

  • Develop and update process specifications, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Design and support simulations and pilot runs for new or modified CNC processes.
  • Assist in new product and process introduction activities.
  • Develop training materials for operators and production staff.
  • Conduct training sessions on CNC process procedures and safety requirements.
  • Review and update training content based on process changes and improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians.
  • Communicate process changes and updates to stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in CNC process engineering or manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience in CNC production data analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in time and motion studies and workflow analysis.
  • Experience in developing SOPs, process documentation, and technical reports.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (production, quality, safety, R&D).
  • Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments.
