GENERAL FUNCTION

  • This position is responsible for ensuring that all functions in the production floor (weighing, mixing, filling & packaging) conforms to GMP standards and that the production targets are consistently achieved.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. MIXING OPERATION

  • Ensures that mixing line operations are on time, continuous and correct by checking early on the availability of materials, manpower and machine before running the line
  • Immediately reports possible causes of delays (such as, lack of packaging materials, lack of manpower due to absence/late, machine problems, incidents & accidents) and seeks immediate solutions with approval from superior
  • Monitors manpower attendance in his shift and implements necessary adjustments to ensure that production output will not be affected
  • Ensures work place safety and hygiene by giving reminders, instructions and making sure that all conforms to the safety and GMP standards
  • Monitors mixing process operation
  • Regularly updates the status of production mixing output
  • Checks production schedule for possible changes that can affect the mixing schedule
  • Counterchecking of dispensed raw materials from weighing prior to mixing
  • Monitor pre-weighed chemicals of weighing section based on mixing schedule
  • Monitors cleaning and sanitization of mixing tanks, buffer tanks and other tools used in mixing area including Monday Sanitization
  • Monitors performance of trainees / contractual / line employees and gives immediate feedback to superior
  • Issuance then checking of production forms
  • Checking of mixing start-up checklist including line clearance, monitors temperature and humidity reading, tagging toll tanks for delivery to third party manufacturer, getting samples to send to QC laboratory and forward requisition slip of micro swabbing
  • Daily inventory of buffer bulk per variant and available tanks that can be used

B. FILLING & PACKAGING OPERATION

  • Ensures that production filling line operations are on time, continuous and correct by checking early on the availability of materials, manpower and machine before running the line
  • Immediately reports possible causes of delays such as materials, lack of manpower due to absence/late, machine problems, incidents & accidents) and seeks immediate solutions with approval from superior
  • Monitors manpower attendance in his shift and implements necessary adjustments to ensure that production output will not be affected
  • Ensures work place safety and hygiene by giving reminders, instructions and making sure that all conforms to the safety and GMP standards
  • Monitors filling process operation
  • Ensures minimum rejects in the line by monitoring the quality of production output and conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to specification and standards
  • Reports any quality issue
  • Checks production schedule for possible changes that can affect the production schedule
  • Monitors cleaning and sanitization of filling lines including filling equipment
  • Checking of filling start-up checklist including line clearance
  • Monitors performance of trainees / contractual / line employees and gives immediate feedback to superior
  • Immediately Reports any production related incident/accident
  • Issuance then checking of production forms
  • Verifies and ensures complete reporting of the following, before turnover to Production Assistant:
  • Received materials
  • Filling daily output – no. of cases per machine
  • Materials for return to warehouse
  • Finished goods for transmission to warehouse
  • Output rejects
  • Packaging Materials reconciliation
  • Daily inventory of packaging materials every end of run. Investigates any deviations from the inventory reconciliation

Documentation

  • Accomplishes production related transaction such as:
  • MRD (Material Requisition Document)
  • Documents of PM returns to warehouse
  • MR at ERIC and other NOAH transactions related to FG’s
  • MO closeout of done batches
  • Verifies and ensures accurate documentation and reporting of the following:
  • Received materials
  • Filling daily output – no. of cases per machine
  • Materials for return to warehouse
  • Finished goods for transmission to warehouse
  • Output rejects
  • Ensure all data and records are completed appropriately:
  • Daily output monitoring (mixing & filling)
  • Manhour report (weighing, mixing & filling)
  • Requesting of factory supplies needed at mixing, filling and packing area
  • Studies, recommends and implements methods in improving efficiency and effectiveness in the production floor
  • Shares relevant information about the line that may affect production performance
  • Performed other task as may assigned by his/her superior

Others

  • Encourages the group to be punctual in all company programs and activities
  • Accurately disseminates information on official announcements, new policies and programs
  • Conducts detailed, complete and proper turnover to the next shift leadman
  • Take over operational responsibilities in absence of weigher, mixing operator, helpers, machine operator & line workers or any other line task as needed
  • Perform other task as may assigned by his/her superior

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • At least college level or graduate of any 2-yrs technical course or Highschool/Senior Highschool graduate with min 2-year experience in a Manufacturing Set-Up

TRAINING:

  • Quality training (GMP, ISO)
  • Safety Training (First Aid, Chemical hazards)
  • Soft skills (Personality, social, communication, time management, problem solving, interpersonal and critical thinking)
  • Technical Training (Basic operation and processes, machine operation and troubleshooting)
  • SOP and Other Documentation
  • Good Manufacturing Practices
  • SAP/ERP Training

SKILLS:

  • Computer Literacy, proficient in using Microsoft office application such as excel, word
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 2-yr experience in same capacity in a manufacturing set-up or 2-yr experience as line operator with potential for training as Leadman
