Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organization's maritime objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify the best sources of goods and services.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and coordinate timely deliveries.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and changes in maritime procurement regulations to advise management accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, maritime studies, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of procurement experience within the maritime or shipping industry.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, international trade laws, and shipping logistics.
  • Proven expertise in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously.
