Summary

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial refrigeration systems and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operation. The role ensures compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and support continuous production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and commission refrigeration and cooling systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on chillers, cold storage units, freezers, air-conditioning systems, and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration systems.
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, valves, motors, and controls.
• Monitor refrigerant levels and detect leaks; recharge systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations for refrigerant handling.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment records.
• Coordinate with production and engineering Head/teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working conditions in all assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Engineering/Technical/Vocational course in Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Technology or related field.
• TESDA NC II or NC III in RAC Servicing (preferred).
• At least 1–2 years of experience in industrial refrigeration systems (manufacturing experience is an advantage).
• Knowledgeable in electrical wiring, control systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiar with safety standards and proper refrigerant handling procedures.
• Physically fit and able to work in cold environments.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules and overtime when required.
• Can do shifting schedule
