Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

1. Pharmacy Operations

- Open and close the pharmacy according to established Pharmacy Assistant Work Routines.

*2. Dispensing Procedure*

- Ensure strict adherence to drug dispensing procedures for both prescription (Rx) and non-prescription (non-Rx) products, with Rx products being dispensed under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Sales*

- Engage in suggestive selling or upselling for cosmetics and other products, including drug products when applicable.

- Foster positive customer relationships to encourage repeat business and enhance customer loyalty.

- Ensure that cash sales are deposited in the bank in a timely manner.

- Update the BIR manual template on a daily basis.

- Record discounts and product returns made by customers.

4. Inventory Management

- Maintain adequate stock levels of pharmacy products to ensure they last until the next delivery.

- Ensure all products are in good condition, properly labeled/packaged, and not expired.

- Remove nearly expired products from displays and storage to return to the head office.

- Keep slow-moving items at minimal stock levels and report excessive stock to the supervisor immediately.

- Record and tally out-of-stock (OOS) items and new products requested by customers.

- Conduct periodic cycle counts and a full inventory count as needed.

5. Other Tasks

- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management from time to time.

Job Qualifications

- Education: Senior High School Graduate or College level.

- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant, or recent graduates from related courses are also encouraged to apply.

- Skills:

- Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- High attention to detail.

- Familiarity with drug names and their uses is preferred.
