Description
- Medication Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions, ensuring proper dosages and patient safety.
- Patient Consultation: Provide counseling to patients on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Health Screenings: Conduct health screenings and administer immunizations as required.
- Medication Management: Monitor and evaluate patient medication therapies, collaborating with healthcare providers to optimize treatment.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory, including ordering medications and ensuring proper storage conditions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and pharmacy operations in compliance with regulations.
- Education and Training: Educate patients and healthcare staff about medications, therapies, and health promotion strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care and improve health outcomes.
Requirement
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
- Licensure: Current and valid pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in pharmaceutical calculations and medication management.
- Knowledge:Understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutic guidelines.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and technology.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to assess patient needs and address medication-related issues.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and support staff.
- Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry trends and regulations.
