Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support the payroll operations of Squire Dental across multiple sites. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining data integrity, and supporting compliance with payroll policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage employee timecards, unallocated hours, and meal period violations
• Track mileage and run payroll-related reports
• Prepare paysheets and process payroll transactions (salary, overtime, bonuses, adjustments)
• Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions
• Ensure payroll compliance with internal policies and government regulations
• Handle payroll discrepancies and employee payroll inquiries
• Support payroll tax processing (Social Security, Medicare, unemployment taxes, etc.)
• Maintain payroll tax registrations across different jurisdictions
• Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for payroll accuracy and reporting
• Respond to tax notices and resolve payroll-related agency concerns
• Prepare reports for management and support payroll data analysis

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent (1–3 years payroll-related experience preferred)
• Experience using Excel or spreadsheet tools
• Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• CPP certification is a plus but not required
• 1–3 years of payroll or related administrative/finance experience
