Key Responsibilities

• Process Payroll
• Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Ensure employees are paid correctly and on schedule
• Maintain Payroll Records
• Keep accurate records of employee data (attendance, leaves, benefits)
• Update payroll information when changes occur (e.g., promotions, salary adjustments)
• Ensure Legal Compliance
• Follow labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
• Handle contributions such as taxes, social security, and other government-mandated deductions
• Prepare Reports
• Generate payroll summaries, tax reports, and financial statements
• Provide data for audits and management review
• Handle Employee Queries
• Respond to questions about payslips, deductions, and benefits
• Resolve payroll discrepancies
• Coordinate with Other Departments
• Work with HR and accounting teams for employee data and financial reporting

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of payroll systems and accounting principles
• Familiarity with labor laws and tax regulations

• Proficiency in payroll software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel)

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in payroll or accounting roles
• Knowledge of local government contributions (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG in the Philippines)
