About the Job:

• A pastry chef is responsible for the various desserts and pastries within a restaurant or cafe. Their main duties include following recipes to create pastries, cookies, pies and other baked goods that grace a restaurant’s dessert menu and keeping stock of the kitchen’s inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Should possess a deep knowledge of patisserie practices, from traditional recipes to modern techniques as they will be preparing a wide variety of desserts.
• Keep in-check of inventory by monitoring and ordering ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensures the bakery section/work area adheres to health and safety regulations.
• Keep up with the latest trends by developing new seasonal recipes and menus.
• Showcase creativity in presentation of pastries and baked goods.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 1 year related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Efficient time management skills.
• High attention-to-detail.
• Flexibility and Willingness to work long shifts since hours may vary.
• Proactivity and Excellent Communication Skills.
• WILLING TO RELOCATE, AS NEEDED (Lodging will be provided).
