Job Title: Paralegal

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Paralegal to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in local legal processes, court procedures, and jurisdiction-specific regulatory frameworks. You will play a crucial role in managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and ensuring smooth communication between attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Research & Writing: Conduct comprehensive legal research on local statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal precedents; draft clear legal briefs, pleadings, motions, contracts, and memorandum summaries.
  • Case Management: Maintain, organize, and update physical and digital case files, trial binders, and legal databases to ensure audit-readiness and efficient document retrieval.
  • Document Drafting & Review: Prepare initial drafts of affidavits, subpoenas, corporate agreements, and correspondence under lawyer supervision; proofread legal materials for accurate citation and terminology.
  • Client & Court Liaison: Interact professionally with local courts, government agencies, opposing counsel, and clients; manage docketing schedules, court filings, and service of process in compliance with local court rules.
  • Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing evidence, witness binders, exhibits, and deposition summaries for hearings and proceedings.

Qualifications & Core Skills

  • Experience: 2–4 years of paralegal experience with a strong preference for candidates with dedicated local legal experience and familiarity with local court systems and administrative bodies.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Paralegal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent paralegal certification).
  • Legal Competencies: Proven proficiency in local legal research methodology, legal drafting, and knowledge of civil, commercial, or corporate procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication skills with high attention to tone, clarity, and legal precision.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal database software, electronic filing systems (e-filing platforms), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding time-management capabilities, sharp analytical thinking, high ethical standards, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
