1. Performing duties that provide support and assistance to senior painters and other trainees

2. Cleaning work areas and equipment

3. Applying protective coverings such as masking tape to items or areas that may be damaged or stained due to work processes (including previously completed surfaces)

4. Filling cracks or gaps in material surfaces

5. Smoothing the surfaces of items to be painted

6. Learning to use and how to inspect equipment before each use

a. High school graduate or equivalent

b. Willingness to learn

c. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and guidelines

d. Strong attention to detail

e. High standards of integrity and professionalism

f. Positive attitude and strong work ethic

g. Ability to work effectively with colleagues

h. Ability to work under fast and complex situations

i. Basic knowledge of painting materials, tools, and techniques. This is desirable but not required
