- Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, scraping, and filling cracks or holes with plaster or putty to ensure smooth surfaces before painting
- Painting and Coating: Applying paints, varnishes, stains, sealers, or other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Material Handling: Mixing paints to achieve the correct color or texture, selecting appropriate primers, and maintaining an inventory of supplies
- Decorative Work: Applying wallpaper, vinyl wall fabrics, or other decorative finishes as required
- Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining painting tools and equipment to ensure proper performance
- Collaboration: Working with other construction or design professionals to ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines
- Safety Compliance: Following workplace safety rules, including using protective gear and observing safe practices when working at heights or with chemicals
