The Auto Painter is responsible for preparing and painting vehicles or vehicle parts to restore them to factory finish or as requested by customers. This includes surface preparation, color mixing, and proper application of paint materials while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
• Mix and match paint colors according to specifications or color codes.
• Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using spray guns and proper painting techniques.
• Inspect painted surfaces for quality, coverage, and finish consistency.
• Perform paint touch-ups and polishing to achieve high-quality results.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the spray booth and work area.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of paints, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
• Coordinate with Body Repair Technicians and Service Advisors for job updates and schedules.
• Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or TESDA-certified in Automotive Painting / Refinishing or related course.
• With at least 1–2 years of experience as an Auto Painter or in a Body and Paint workshop.
• Knowledgeable in surface preparation, paint mixing, and spray painting techniques.
