Review patient medical records and documentation from doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers.

Assign accurate medical codes using coding systems such as:

• ICD-10 (International Classification of Diseases)
• CPT (Current Procedural Terminology)
• HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System)

Ensure coding accuracy for insurance claims and reimbursements.

Verify patient information and treatment details.

Maintain confidentiality of patient records and comply with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA

Communicate with healthcare providers regarding unclear diagnoses or procedures.

Submit coded information for billing and insurance processing.

Identify and correct coding errors or discrepancies.

Stay updated with changes in medical coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.

Assist in audits and compliance reviews when needed.

Job Requirements

College graduate

Minimum of 1 year in medical coding

Must have Experience with coding multi-specialty charts 

CPC, COC, or CCS or equivalent is required.
