- Receive IT equipment delivered to Information Services, including logging received equipment, verify their contents, ensure they match purchase order, storing it securely, conducting periodic inventories and logging distribution.
- Track asset utilization and ensure assets not in use are recovered, inventoried, relocated, or disposed of in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage the movement of equipment between locations including generating shipping labels and researching shipments as needed.
- Initiate equipment repair, shipping them to manufacture and monitor their status for repair and/or replacement.
- Maintains and develops processes for check in and check out of loaned equipment.
- Maintain and manage stockrooms, submit order requests for network equipment and PC accessories to maintain stockroom inventory levels up to date and apply FIFO methods when assigning assets.
- Conduct inventory and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly asset reports.
- Responsible for following, supporting, and enforcing all internal control processes and procedures.
- Work closely with multiple departments to support IT operations.
- Assist with hardware removal/decommissioning in the local office.
- Assist in other job duties as determined by the Manager of IT Operations.
- Degree preferred, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 2 to more years of experience in IT asset management or related roles.
- Experience with asset management tools is also essential for this position.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to interface with a variety of technical and business personnel with courtesy, tact and diplomacy.
- Solid communication skills (both oral and written) to direct, organize and communicate with others.
- Some experience installing, configuring and supporting Laptop/Desktop computer hardware, monitors, printers and peripherals.
- Experience with building,packaging, installing,deploying and repairing desktop software and hardware systems utilizing Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Jamf Pro, IBM BigFix, or other packaging tool is a plus.
