Job Summary

The Operations Manager oversees the overall performance, growth, and operational excellence of both Corporate and Franchise-owned branches. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing unit-level profitability, maintaining strong franchise and lessor relationships, and leading cross-functional alignment.

By leading field teams, driving human capital development, and ensuring robust business retention and market expansion, the Operations Manager acts as the strategic bridge between executive vision and day-to-day store execution.


KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sales Management

  • Target Achievement: Establish, cascade, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for all corporate and franchise stores.
  • Revenue Optimization: Analyze sales trends, Average Daily Sales (ADS), transaction counts, and ticket sizes to identify growth opportunities.
  • Promotional Execution: Collaborate with Marketing to rollout national and localized promotional campaigns, ensuring 100% store compliance and operational readiness.
  • Field Execution: Drive area managers and store supervisors to execute high-velocity sales strategies in store and across digital/delivery channels.


2. Profit & Cost Management

  • P&L Responsibility: Review branch P&L statements regularly to ensure stores achieve target EBITDA margins.
  • COGS & Inventory Control: Overseational shrinkage, wastage, and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) to prevent profit leakages.
  • OpEx & Labor Optimization: Audit store utility usage, rental structures, and labor costs to keep operational expenses within budgeted allowances.
  • Financial Governance: Partner with Accounting to enforce strict cash control, daily sales, and audit protocols across all branches.


3. Client & Stakeholder Management (Franchisees & Lessors)

  • Franchisee Relations: Serve as the primary operational liaison for franchise partners, conducting regular business reviews, addressing grievances, and ensuring brand standard compliance.
  • Lessor & Mall Relations: Maintain healthy relationships with mall managers and commercial lessors to address property issues, leasing queries, and operational hours.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proactively manage franchisee communications regarding operational updates, supply chain adjustments, and structures.


4. Leadership & Change Management

  • Team Leadership: Direct and mentor Area Managers, Store Managers, and field staff, fostering an accountable, "go-get-target" culture.
  • Process Standardization: Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across both corporate and franchise networks.
  • Change Integration: Lead the organizational rollout of new technologies, operational workflows, menu innovations, and corporate initiatives smoothly across all units.


5. HR Planning & Operational Training

  • Manpower Planning: Forecast manpower requirements to ensure optimal store staffing levels and mitigate turnover risks.
  • Training Needs Analysis (TNA): Identify operational capability gaps and partner with the Training Team to design targeted modules (e.g., customer service, food safety, inventory management, leadership).
  • Performance Management: Evaluate Area Managers and store teams against key performance indicators (KPIs) to cultivate internal talent pipelines.


6. Business Development, Retention & Brand Positioning

  • Store Retention & Turnaround: Monitor underperforming branches, develop targeted turnaround plans, and execute strategic interventions to retain store footprint and client partnerships.
  • Expansion Readiness: Support new store openings (NSOs) for both corporate and franchise pipelines by driving operational readiness, layout alignment, and launch execution.
  • Market Positioning: Ensure consistent brand aesthetics, service quality, and product standards across all locations to elevate the brand's competitive position in the market.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Operations Management, Finance, or any related discipline.
  • 5 to 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Multi-Unit Retail or Food & Beverage (F&B) / Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) operations.
  • Solid experience in Franchise Operations Management, including franchise relations, compliance, and contract operationalization.
  • Deep understanding of unit-level economics, profit and loss statements, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), labor cost optimization, and EBITDA margins.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute sales activation strategies that consistently drive Average Daily Sales (ADS) and transaction volume.
  • Basic understanding of leasing arrangements, mall operations, and commercial rent structures.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Metro Manila and regional provinces to perform on-site branch visits, audits, and partner meetings.
