Job Summary

Responsible for the general maintenance, repair, inspection, and upkeep of company facilities, buildings, utilities, equipment, and surrounding areas. The position ensures that all facilities are safe, clean, functional, and properly maintained to support smooth and continuous business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspection of company buildings, facilities, utilities, and maintenance equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
  • Handle basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, mechanical, and general repair work.
  • Troubleshoot and address facility-related problems such as electrical faults, water leaks, clogged drains, lighting failures, damaged fixtures, and other maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain and monitor lighting, electrical fixtures, plumbing systems, ventilation, air-conditioning, pumps, and other building systems.
  • Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and minor repairs of applicable facility equipment.
  • Ensure that doors, gates, locks, windows, ceilings, walls, floors, roofing, drainage, and other building components are in good condition.
  • Conduct regular inspection of tools, equipment, and maintenance materials and report defective or unsafe items.
  • Respond promptly to facility breakdowns, maintenance requests, and emergency repair requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of maintenance areas, storage rooms, utility areas, and other assigned facilities.
  • Assist in the setup, transfer, installation, and dismantling of office or facility fixtures and equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor contractors' work to ensure compliance with company requirements and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, work orders, materials used, and equipment condition.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, supplies, and consumable materials.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable occupational health and safety standards.
  • Immediately report safety hazards, defective equipment, major facility problems, and conditions requiring specialized technical assistance.
  • Perform other facility and maintenance-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • At least a high school diploma; technical or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, building maintenance, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in facility, building, property, or general maintenance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
  • Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and basic testing instruments safely.
  • Ability to troubleshoot facility problems and perform minor repairs.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and workplace safety procedures.
  • Physically capable of performing maintenance work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in different areas of the facility.
  • Willing to work beyond regular hours when necessary for emergency repairs or facility requirements.
  • Dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
