DIETITIAN CONSULTANT
Work Address: Parañaque, Metro Manila
Work Set-up: Onsite (with occasional fieldwork)
Work Schedule: Weekdays (8AM-5PM), with occasional Saturday schedule
JOB SUMMARY:
The Dietitian Consultant provides expert nutrition guidance and technical oversight to ensure
that canteen food services meet established nutritional standards, food safety regulations, and
client requirements. The role is advisory in nature and supports menu development, policy
compliance, and continuous improvement of food service operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review and evaluate menus for nutritional adequacy and compliance with standards.
• Provide recommendations for healthy, balanced, and cost-effective meal planning.
• Advise on special diet requirements as applicable to canteen operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and nutrition regulations.
• Conduct periodic assessments of food service practices.
• Provide technical input during audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
• Prepare written reports, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
• Conduct nutrition-related training or orientation for food service staff as needed.
• Coordinate with Administrative Dietitian, Head Dietitian, and Outlet Managers.
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Licensed Nutritionist-Dietitian with a valid professional license as required by local
regulatory bodies.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in food service management,
catering services, or institutional food service.
• Experience in menu planning, food safety compliance, and nutrition program evaluation.
• Proficient in oral and written English and Filipino.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to calculate and interpret data related to waste generation,
emission/effluent and concentrations, unit conversions, percentages, and report data
analysis.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Prior consulting experience in canteen, corporate, school, or institutional food service.
• Experience in providing technical input during audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be physically fit to conduct fieldwork, inspections, and sampling in various
environments (production areas, waste storage facilities, water treatment systems).
• Able to wear appropriate PPE when required.
• May involve moderate lifting of equipment and materials during environmental monitoring
activities.
• Willing to travel locally for coordination with regulatory bodies, accredited laboratories, or
third-party providers.
