Job Description

The Service Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and components at customer sites and workshop locations. Working under the guidance of senior technicians, the role follows established procedures, utilizes standard trade tools, and supports equipment assembly, troubleshooting, and routine service activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic maintenance, repairs, and parts handling for mining and heavy equipment
  • Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, proactively report hazards, and contribute to a zero-harm work environment
  • Complete service reports, job documentation, and other required records accurately and in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with customers when required and coordinate with internal parts and service teams
  • Assist in equipment assembly, inspection, and troubleshooting under supervision
  • Participate in local and technical training programs to build competencies in areas such as Load & Haul, Drilling, Automation systems, Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) technologies, and rock drilling applications


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Technical background or relevant certification in mechanical, electrical, or heavy equipment maintenance
  • Experience working with underground and/or surface mining equipment is highly preferred
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and diesel equipment
  • Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and work in field or site-based environments
