The Mining Engineer / Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is responsible for overseeing mining operations while ensuring compliance with environmental laws, safety regulations, and government standards. The role involves monitoring environmental programs, preparing regulatory reports, and supporting efficient and sustainable mining activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor mining operations and site activities.
• Ensure compliance with DENR, EMB, and other environmental regulations.
• Serve as the company’s accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO).
• Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports and permits.
• Monitor waste management, air quality, water quality, and pollution control measures.
• Conduct environmental inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Coordinate with government agencies regarding environmental and mining compliance.
• Assist in planning and implementing mining and environmental programs.
• Promote workplace safety and environmental awareness on site.
• Maintain records of environmental monitoring and compliance activities.
• Support sustainability and rehabilitation initiatives for mining operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering.
• Licensed Mining Engineer is preferred.
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) is an advantage.
• With experience in mining operations and environmental compliance.
• Knowledgeable in Philippine environmental and mining laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to work on-site and conduct field inspections.
