About the role

Best Resource Enterprise Network Inc. is seeking a talented Mid Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position, where you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our cutting-edge mobile applications.

• Oversee the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing Android applications
• Develop and integrate new features as per project requirements
• Implement clean, maintainable code using MVVM and Clean Architecture
• Manage REST API integrations for optimal performance
• Design responsive and intuitive user interfaces using traditional XML
• Adapt applications for various languages and regions, and employ a modular approach to application development
• Implement and maintain chat services using WebSocket for real-time user interactions
• Develop and integrate features for handling financial transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, ensuring security and compliance with financial regulations
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software reliability and functionality
• Utilize JIRA for tracking tasks, bugs, and managing sprints effectively
• Participate in agile development cycles and team stand-ups
• Collaborate with team members on project requirements, design, and shipping new features; participate in code reviews

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology/Computer Science and or any related course
• At least 2-4 years of work experience 
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Can work on night shift and or shifting, rotational schedule and/or during holidays
• Proven track record as an Android Developer, evidenced by a strong portfolio of applications
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin; solid understanding of the Android SDK
• Experience with MVVM and Clean Architecture; skilled in unit testing; proficient with RESTful APIs
• Experienced in XML layout design; knowledge of WebSocket and financial transaction integration
• Knowledge of modular programming and localization
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills
• Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools
• Proficiency in using RxJava and Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous programming
