• Conduct microbiological testing on submitted samples based on specifications (RM, FG, water samples, environmental samples, etc.).
• Research microorganisms in food and help prevent food-borne diseases.
• Study food poisoning, spoilage, and preservation while supporting food safety legislation and compliance.
• Participate in proficiency testing.
• Monitor how food processing and packaging affect preservation over time.
• Implement improvements to ensure compliance with government food safety regulations.
• Serve as a laboratory researcher or trainer regarding EMP requirements.
