Description

As a Foundry Process Engineer, responsibilities will include optimization and management of the casting processes used to manufacture metal castings, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in production. Their role involves designing and refining casting methods, selecting appropriate materials, and overseeing mold preparation, melting, pouring, and cooling processes. They work to improve production efficiency by analyzing process data, analyzing failure and troubleshooting defects, and implementing continuous improvement practices. 

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential, along with a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with relevant quality standards, such as ISO and ASTM is also a must.
  • Familiarity with engineering and process simulation software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and casting simulation tools is a big plus.
