Key Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Testing: Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids, using sophisticated medical equipment and technology.
• Quality Control: Maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Data Analysis: Analyze test results, interpret findings, and report results to healthcare providers in a clear and timely manner.
• Specimen Handling: Collect, prepare, and process specimens according to established protocols and safety standards.
• Record Keeping: Document and maintain accurate records of test results, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
• Compliance: Ensure all laboratory operations comply with state, federal, and organizational regulations and guidelines, including OSHA and HIPAA.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other laboratory staff, healthcare providers, and management to support patient care and laboratory operations.

• Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field is generally required.
• Accredited Program: Completion of an accredited medical laboratory science program.
• Certification: ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) certification or equivalent is required.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
