- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies in a timely manner.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations.
- Review and correct billing discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and coding standards.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health administration, finance, or a related field.
- Experience Level: 1-3 years of experience in medical billing or a related field.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in medical billing software and coding (e.g., CPT, ICD-10).
- Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
