Responsibilities

• Review and analyze patient charts and documents to assign accurate medical codes.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and standards while capturing required information.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify ambiguous documentation and coding queries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Conduct periodic audits and quality checks to ensure coding accuracy and integrity.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field
• Experience Level: 3–5 years of experience in medical coding
• Skills and Competencies: CPC Certification and CIC certification preferred
• Skills and Competencies: Experience as a Surgical Coder
• Skills and Competencies: Proficiency in CPT/HCPCS coding systems
• Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
