Description
- Review clinical documentation to identify and code diagnoses, procedures, and services provided to patients.
- Ensure accurate and timely coding of healthcare services for billing purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain compliance with coding regulations and guidelines.
- Stay updated on coding standards and regulations, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
- Conduct audits and quality checks of coded data to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience Level: 3–5 years
- Skills and Competencies: CCS Certification, CPC Certification, strong understanding of nursing concepts
- Responsibilities and Duties: Proven coding experience in surgery
- Working Conditions: Office environment with potential remote work options
- Qualities and Traits: Detail-oriented, analytical thinking, strong communication skills
