Description
- Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services based on documentation.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Review and analyze clinical data for accuracy in coding.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance providers to facilitate timely reimbursement.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field
- Experience Level:2–5 years of medical coding experience
- Skills and Competencies:CPC Certification, CCS Certification, proficient in OP and IP coding, claims processing, ED and EM coding
- Responsibilities and Duties:Demonstrated ability in inpatient and outpatient coding processes
- Qualities and Traits:Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Working Conditions:Office environment with potential remote work options
