Description
- Accurately assign codes to various medical diagnoses and procedures in compliance with insurance regulations.
- Review patient records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with medical staff to clarify ambiguities in documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations.
- Assist in audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of coding practices.
Requirements
- Clinical Experience of 2 years
- Coding Experience: 1-2 years
- Must have USRN & PHRN and Active CPC/CCS Certificate
- Additional Skill: 1-2 years of Coding Experience
- Shift: 9am to 6Pm
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health information management or related field.
Experience Level
- 1-3 years of experience in medical coding.
Skills and Competencies
- CPC certification is preferred; proficiency in coding software.
Qualities and Traits
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
