Job Overview

Level Up Talent Solutions is looking for a Lean-Pro Inpatient Coder - QA Specialist to perform coding quality review and audit support for inpatient medical coding work.

This role is responsible for reviewing inpatient coded cases, checking coding accuracy and completeness, identifying documentation gaps, and supporting quality improvement across coding outputs.

The ideal candidate has recent clinical or hospital experience, strong inpatient coding experience, and the ability to review coded records objectively against coding guidelines, documentation standards, and account expectations.


Responsibilities

  • Review inpatient coded cases for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Audit diagnosis, procedure, and inpatient coding outputs based on coding guidelines and client standards
  • Identify coding discrepancies, documentation gaps, and process improvement opportunities
  • Provide clear QA findings and feedback to support coding accuracy and performance improvement
  • Track coding quality trends, recurring errors, and audit results
  • Support calibration sessions and alignment with coding standards
  • Maintain accurate QA records, audit documentation, and quality reports
  • Escalate complex coding or compliance concerns when needed


Qualifications

  • PHRN or Medical Allied background
  • CCS, CPC, or CIC certification, preferably with inpatient coding focus
  • At least 1 year of recent and relevant clinical or hospital experience
  • At least 3 years of inpatient coding experience
  • Strong understanding of inpatient coding guidelines, clinical documentation, and coding compliance
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to review coded records objectively
  • Able to work in a non-voice coding QA environment 



Nice to Have

  • Prior inpatient audit or coding QA experience
  • Experience with U.S. healthcare coding accounts
  • Exposure to coder feedback, calibration, or quality reporting
