Electromechanical Technician

Job description:

Electro-mechanical technician responsibilities include installing,

maintaining, and repairing automated and electromechanical equipment by diagnosing and fixing both electrical and mechanical issues. They

work with systems like motors, sensors, and

PLCs, read technical documents like schematics and blueprints, and perform tasks such as calibration, preventive

maintenance, and system upgrades. Technicians must also keep detailed

maintenance and repair logs and ensure all work complies with safety

regulations.

Core responsibilities:

• Installation and assembly: Install, aSsemble, and set up electromechanical

systems, components, and automated machinery.

• Maintenance: Perform

routine and preventive maintenance on equipment, including cleaning,

lubricating, and replacing mechanical and electrical parts.

• Troubleshooting and repair: Diagnose

and troubleshoot malfunctions in electrical,

mechanical, and electronic systems, and repair or replace

faulty components.

• Testing and calibration: Test equipment

to ensure proper operation and calibrate systems and components to

meet specifications using various diagnostic tools.

• Reading technical documents: Interpret technical documents such

as blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams

to understand and perform tasks correctly. 

• Documentation: Maintain accurate

records of maintenance, repairs, and test results.

• Safety and compliance: Adhere to all safety

regulations and ensure

a safe working environment.

• Collaboration: Work with engineers and other personnel

to diagnose problems, improve processes, and ensure

• new equipment functions correctly.

Qualifications:

1. Graduate of Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, Mechanical, or related course
2. With experience in electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
3. Knowledgeable in motors, sensors, PLCs, and automated systems
4. Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
5. Skilled in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration, and equipment repair
6. Knowledgeable in safety procedures and maintenance standards
7. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
8. Willing to work onsite and handle field/service assignments
