Cadet Engineer assigned as Screenman Trainee in the Mill

Production. A screenman trainee learns to operate, monitor and

maintain the equipment in the Screenroom (cleaning house) where

raw wheat is cleaned and tempered before milling.

Duties and Responsibilities

Check the daily condition of cleaning equipment that remove dust,

stones and foreign material from raw wheat.

Help Maintain a stable and consistent flow rate of wheat through

cleaning and tempering equipment.

ake regular wheat samples for laboratory analysis

Keep the screenroom clean and cleaning equipment

Complete daily checklist task for machinery performance.

Assist maintenance teams during minor equipment adjustments or

scheduled mill shutdowns.

Follow industrial safety rules, hygiene protocols and food safety

standards.
