Job Summary


The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, project coordination, and compliance with fire safety standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare fire protection system layouts and calculations
  • Review and interpret mechanical and fire protection drawings
  • Supervise installation of sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump, and alarm systems
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress
  • Ensure compliance with fire codes, safety standards, and local regulations
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, architects, and clients
  • Prepare material estimates, technical reports, and project documentation
  • Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of fire protection systems
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and cost control
  • Ensure quality assurance and workplace safety compliance


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer
  • Experience in fire protection systems/design is preferred
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire safety regulations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
