Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman / Layouter to join our stainless kitchen equipment fabrication team. The successful candidate will prepare technical drawings, fabrication layouts, cutting lists, and production details for custom stainless steel kitchen equipment such as work tables, sinks, exhaust hoods, cabinets, shelving, and food service systems.

The role requires strong technical drafting skills, understanding of stainless fabrication processes, and the ability to coordinate with production, engineering, and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and layout plans for stainless kitchen equipment

• Interpret architectural, mechanical, and kitchen layout drawings

• Produce cutting lists, material estimates, and fabrication details

• Coordinate dimensions and specifications with clients, engineers, and production supervisors

• Revise drawings based on site measurements and client comments

• Ensure drawings comply with fabrication standards and project requirements

• Assist production team with technical clarifications during fabrication

• Conduct site measurements when required

• Maintain organized drawing files and revision records

• Support project coordination and scheduling activities

Qualifications

• Graduate of Drafting Technology, Mechanical Technology, Engineering, Architecture, or related course
• Minimum of 1–3 years experience in stainless steel fabrication or kitchen equipment manufacturing
• Proficient in:

AutoCAD

SketchUp (preferred)

Microsoft Office

• Ability to read technical and construction drawings
• Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication methods and materials
• Strong attention to detail and measurement accuracy
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial kitchen equipment layout
• Familiarity with food service industry standards
• Knowledge in sheet metal fabrication and welding processes
• Basic 3D modeling skills
• Site measurement and project coordination experience
